What are the working hours and how does overtime get calculated?

The maximum prescribed working hours for an adult employee is eight hours per day or forty-eight hours per week. However, the working hours may be increased to nine hours per day in the case of persons employed in trade, hotels, cafeterias, and as guards. Overtime is calculated as per Labor Law.
